If you want to build a new dock or repair an old dock, don't look past Clark and Lakeside Construction. My neighbor recommended Clark (the owner). We have a property in Mercer Island and I used them to repair an old dock and build a new extension and I recommended Clark to a friend of mine. It worked out great for us.

The dock looks great and is very functional. The team paid attention to every detail and used excellent materials, design and processes. Clark and Bill advised me on every option. Their work is excellent and makes a lot of sense for usability. Clark, Bill and the crew put in every bell and whistle we asked for, no hassles. They own the barge and all the equipment, so everything ran smoothly. Also, they handled the whole permit process which can be very cumbersome if you don't have experience with it. Clark grew up around docks, boats and marinas, so he knows everything there is to know about what makes sense.

The price was very fair. But what impressed me about Clark is that as the project evolved and my wife and I made changes he was a total gentleman and didn't try to nickel and dime us. And when we decided to scale back the scope of part of the work, Clark gave us a credit back that was more than fair. They make an honest living while keeping the customer very happy. Even after the project was done they added few extra things to make sure we're happy. They were the nicest and easiest people to deal with and you can't go wrong hiring them.

Lakeside Construction completely rebuilt our dock on Lake Washington.  The Owner, Clark Stahl, expertly guided us through the permitting process and the Dock options.  His crew were great to work with, and the final product is the most handsome dock on the lake.  Bottom line - this is a fabulous company and I highly recommend them for any dock work.

Lakeside replaced our aged dock surface and also sleeved our piers to make them stronger and longer lasting. Despite a potential setback with a supplier that could have affected our project completion they went above and beyond the call to ensure that our dock was completed on time. Due to bad weather in early 2015, our dock on Salmon Bay (salt water) suffered severe damage and was literally breaking apart.  We were referred to Clark Stahl and Lakeside Construction by a friend who lives on Lake Sammamish. Clark agreed to come right out to stabilize things then scheduled repairs immediately.  Lakeside did a great job putting a brand new platform on our dock with new cleats, bumpers all around, and rollers on the pilings.  They also replaced an old wooden plank on our ramp with a new grated ramp.  A few weeks ago, a pin on one of our rollers broke off (manufacturer's defect I think) and Clark sent Billy right out to fix it at no charge to us.  I highly recommend Lakeside Construction and Clark.  Good work at a fair price.

I would like to give Lakeside and the entire team (Clark, Billy, etc.) 10 stars if Google  would allow me to!   I have worked with numerous contractors in commercial projects, as well as the recent residential construction my home. Project after project, I learned that I need to be pretty cautious in vetting the contractors.  Everyone will promise great things, but the delivery on those promises are not always consistent.     

Having gotten several bids, Lakeside was competitive, but not the lowest. However after having met Clark, the owner, I was comfortable.  He seemed like he ran a good business; I reviewed the BBB, did some different google searches, and saw that comments were very positive.  I had my attorney review the contract, made some minor adjustments, and talked through anticipated situations that may change the pricing structure.   Clark assured me that if things if things did come up, he would be reasonable and would definitely put my satisfaction first and foremost.  He said that if majors thing came up, we'd talk about it, but small challenges, he would take care of.   This was a promised that he delivered on multiple times throughout the project.  

We ran into a couple hiccups with the build, as all projects do, and where I would have expected other contractors to come back and to have a 'conversation about unanticipated situations,' Clark and his team just fixed it and moved forward.  One evening I came home, and his project supervisor, Billy, pulled me aside to inform me that they had to redo a portion because it wasn't right.  It was clear that they took a great deal of pride in their work.     

My family and I absolutely LOVE our dock and am looking forward to the great memories that will build around it.   It was built with integrity, pride and exceptional craftsmanship and I am so glad that I went with Lakeside.  Clark shared that in the 20+ years that he has been doing this, he hasn't ever had a customer that wasn't satisfied, and I can definitely attest to being part of that group.  

I would encourage you to consider Clark and Lakeside.  I've already recommended him to my neighbors and others on the lake.  Thank you Clark, Billy and your entire team!
